Monumento ai Caduti è una performance pensata specificatamente per la sede del Nuovo Comune di Bologna, da poco costruito in un'area della città la cui identità è ancora poco definita. Il processo di trasformazione che ancora caratterizza quest’area è stato riproposto attraverso un lavoro che alterna l’ascolto alla visione. Un racconto sonoro che ha ripercorso la storia di un quartiere in transizione e trasformato l’edificio stesso in monumento. Quando l’isolato si è trovato immerso nel buio più totale, come un immenso iceberg di vetro nero, la sommità dell’edificio si è accesa di rosso trasformandosi in un corpo di luce incandescente, una segnalazione di presenza umana visibile fino a grande distanza. Tutta la performance è stata trasmessa via etere dalle frequenze di Radio Città del Capo.
 

“Monumento ai Caduti” is a performance specifically designed for the new Bologna City Hall, recently built in a new square whose identity is still in the making. The transformational process marking this area has been processed through a work that alternates sounds and vision. A sound tale narrating the story of a neighbourhood in transition transforms the building itself in a monument. When the block is immersed in the darkness, as a huge iceberg of black glass, the top of the building is set ablaze in red, becoming at once a body of fluorescent light, signal of human presence visible from a long distance. The action was broadcasted through the frequencies of Radio Città del Capo.
